This beautiful but fairly challenging hike starts in a quiet suburb on the edge of Nerja and quickly takes us into the surrounding mountains. The route climbs over several peaks, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the countryside, the Barranco de la Coladilla, and the town of Nerja below. The combination of rugged terrain and wide vistas makes this a memorable and demanding mountain walk.
After reaching the high points, we descend into the Barranco de la Coladilla, a dramatic ravine with stunning natural features. Walking through this area gives a sense of the wild beauty of the landscape and provides a peaceful contrast to the exposed mountain sections.
The route then loops back toward the starting point, offering a satisfying mix of steep climbs, descents, and scenic viewpoints. It’s an excellent hike for those who enjoy mountains, spectacular views, and a fairly tough adventure close to the coast.
