Prepared for the journey: Tips for a safe and enjoyable hike

When you join us for a hike, we want to make sure you get the most out of the experience and are well-prepared. Here are some important things to keep in mind before heading out:

Insurance: We recommend taking out insurance that covers mountain hiking to ensure you have support in case of emergencies.

Wear good hiking shoes: The trails can be rocky and uneven, so proper shoes with grip and support are essential for a comfortable and safe hike.

Bring enough water and food: Make sure to carry at least 1 liter of water, especially on warmer days. It’s also a good idea to bring some food or snacks to keep your energy levels up along the way.

Dress wisely: The weather can change quickly, especially as we move from the coast to the mountains. It may be 20 degrees on the coast, while in the mountains it can drop to 0 degrees. Make sure to wear layers that you can adjust depending on the temperature.

Sun protection: Don’t forget sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat, especially when hiking through open areas.

Rain protection: A lightweight rain jacket or poncho can come in handy for unexpected showers.

First-aid kit: It’s always a good idea to carry a small first-aid kit with bandages and disinfectant in case of blisters or minor injuries.
