🏖️ During the summer period, we do not organize hikes. We usually resume at the beginning of September. Please note if you go by yourself, temperatures above ☀️ 25°C (77°F) make a hike more strenuous than usual. Read more about the risks here.

This hike starts near Motril and surprises with its beauty despite the location. After crossing the highway and walking a short stretch along the road, the trail leads into the mountains, offering lovely views and a peaceful recreation area. Along the way, you’ll spot an old mine, and the route includes the option to climb Cerro del Toro, where a well-known cross overlooks Motril and its harbor.

The hike combines moderate climbs with panoramic vistas of the town, the coast, and the surrounding mountains. Walking through the hills and open spaces provides a refreshing contrast to the urban area, making the experience both invigorating and scenic.

The route finishes back near the starting point, leaving the option to relax and enjoy the surroundings before returning to Motril. It’s a rewarding hike for those who enjoy mountains, views, and a mix of nature and history.
