Lanjarón: Fuente Matemarques, Fuente de Matomarque and Puente sobre Rio Lanjaron

This scenic but fairly challenging hike begins in Lanjarón, following the Montalbán irrigation canal through hills and countryside. The route starts with gentle paths past local landmarks such as Fuente Matemarques and Fuente de Matomarque, but the terrain becomes more demanding as we approach the river.

The most beautiful section begins as we descend toward the Río Lanjarón, where the landscape opens up and the sound of flowing water accompanies us. Walking along the irrigation canal provides peaceful scenery, a sense of adventure, and a glimpse into the region’s agricultural heritage.
