Guájar-Faragüit: Barranco de Jarales los Cortijuelos

This beautiful circular hike starts in the white village of Guájar-Faragüit. We first walk westwards through the village before leaving the houses behind and continuing into the mountainous landscape of Los Guájares. Along the way, we enjoy a combination of green valleys, rugged hillsides and typical Andalusian scenery.

One of the highlights is the Mirador de la Vega, where we can enjoy beautiful views across the valley and surrounding mountains. We then continue through the Barranco de Jarales and Los Cortijuelos, where old rural buildings and the characteristic landscape of the area add to the atmosphere of the route.

The circular route eventually brings us back towards Guájar-Faragüit. The varied scenery, beautiful viewpoints and chance to explore a lesser-known part of Los Guájares make this a great hike for discovering more of this fascinating area.
