🏖️ During the summer period, we do not organize hikes. We usually resume at the beginning of September. Please note if you go by yourself, temperatures above ☀️ 25°C (77°F) make a hike more strenuous than usual. Read more about the risks here.

This hike starts in the Cómpeta area and follows the Río Torrox and Río Patamalara, offering incredible natural beauty. The route is technical and challenging, with sections that go through water, rocky paths, and even under reeds, so expect to get wet feet. The scenery is spectacular, with lush vegetation, river pools, and dramatic mountain views.

The rivers here are somewhat reminiscent of the Río Chillar and Río Verde, but unlike those popular routes, you’re very likely to enjoy this hike in near-complete solitude. Due to the complexity of the route, it requires concentration and proper preparation. Footwear suitable for water that also protects the ankles is essential to prevent injuries.

Important information for the meeting point: calculate your route using Google Maps (link in your confirmation email) and make sure to go via Torrox Pueblo, not Frigiliana. The last 3 km are on an unpaved road and can take up to 15 minutes, so it’s recommended to leave earlier than usual. This route is probably not suitable for dogs that cannot be carried if they dislike water.
