🏖️ During the summer period, we do not organize hikes. We usually resume at the beginning of September. Please note if you go by yourself, temperatures above ☀️ 25°C (77°F) make a hike more strenuous than usual. Read more about the risks here.

This diverse and scenic hike begins in Cotobro, a quiet neighborhood of Almuñécar. From there, we follow the Paseo de Cotobro along a stone walkway through the rocks to Playa El Muerto, enjoying the rugged coastal scenery along the way. After crossing the beach, we climb about 100 meters of steps to Punta de la Mona, passing the charming Ermita and the lighthouse, which offer great viewpoints over the coastline.

From Punta de la Mona, we descend toward La Herradura, walking along the beach before taking the path beneath the main road. The hike continues with a climb behind a hostel to connect with Camino Guerra, a winding path that ascends and loops around the hillside, providing fantastic views of the surrounding mountains and coast.

The final section brings us down to cross the main road and reach the Roman Bridge, a historic landmark that adds a cultural touch to the route. We complete the loop by returning to Cotobro via the road, ending a varied and rewarding hike full of coastal, mountain, and historical scenery.
