This scenic but fairly challenging hike begins in Lanjarón, following the Montalbán irrigation canal through hills and countryside. The most beautiful section begins as we descend toward the Río Lanjarón, where the landscape opens up and the sound of flowing water accompanies us. Walking along the irrigation canal provides peaceful scenery, a sense of adventure, and a glimpse into the region’s agricultural heritage.
The route concludes as we follow the canal back toward the village, crossing the Puente sobre Río Lanjarón before returning to the starting point. With its mix of climbs, descents, and scenic viewpoints, this hike is both rewarding and physically engaging for those who enjoy a more demanding walk.
Esta caminata panorámica pero bastante exigente comienza en Lanjarón, siguiendo la acequia de riego Montalbán a través de colinas y campos. La ruta empieza por senderos suaves junto a puntos de interés locales como la Fuente Matemarques y la Fuente de Matomarque, pero el terreno se vuelve más exigente al acercarnos al río.
La sección más bonita comienza al descender hacia el Río Lanjarón, donde el paisaje se abre y el sonido del agua corriente nos acompaña. Caminar junto a la acequia ofrece un entorno tranquilo, una sensación de aventura y una visión del patrimonio agrícola de la región.
La ruta concluye siguiendo la acequia de regreso al pueblo, cruzando el Puente sobre Río Lanjarón antes de volver al punto de inicio. Con su mezcla de subidas, descensos y miradores panorámicos, esta caminata resulta gratificante y físicamente estimulante para quienes disfrutan de un recorrido más exigente.
