This hike starts in Maro, a charming village known for its narrow streets and coastal views. We first head to an old quarry, where some historical machinery still remains, offering a glimpse into the area’s past.
From the quarry, the route takes us into the mountains along a dry riverbed, with some moderate climbs that provide beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. On the way back, we pass the natural stone bridge (Puente de Piedra), a scenic highlight of the hike.
The walk finishes back in Maro, where there’s an option to enjoy a drink together and relax after the hike. This is a moderate route combining history, mountain scenery, and the charm of an Andalusian village.
Esta caminata comienza en Maro, un encantador pueblo conocido por sus calles estrechas y vistas al mar. Primero nos dirigimos a una antigua cantera, donde aún se conservan algunas máquinas históricas, ofreciendo una visión del pasado de la zona.
Desde la cantera, la ruta nos adentra en las montañas siguiendo un cauce seco, con algunas subidas moderadas que permiten disfrutar de vistas hermosas del paisaje circundante. De regreso, pasamos por el Puente de Piedra, un destacado atractivo natural de la caminata.
El paseo finaliza en Maro, donde existe la opción de tomar algo juntos y relajarse tras la caminata. Es una ruta moderada que combina historia, paisajes de montaña y el encanto de un pueblo andaluz.
