This hike starts in Albuñuelas, a charming village in the Lecrín Valley. The route follows the Saleres River, also called the Holy River, offering a refreshing walk with beautiful river scenery and lush vegetation along the way.
While the hike is not very difficult, there are some adventurous sections. You’ll need to climb a rock using ropes and handholds, and other parts require climbing or descending over rocks. If you suffer from vertigo, certain spots might feel a bit scary. Shoes that can get wet but still protect your feet and ankles are essential, as in some areas the water can reach waist level.
This route is not suitable for dogs that cannot be carried, and walkers should always exercise caution when walking in the river. The combination of river paths, rocks, and small climbs makes this a thrilling and refreshing hike in the Lecrín Valley.
Esta caminata comienza en Albuñuelas, un encantador pueblo del Valle de Lecrín. La ruta sigue el Río Saleres, también llamado Río Santo, ofreciendo un paseo refrescante con hermosos paisajes de río y vegetación abundante a lo largo del camino.
Aunque la caminata no es muy difícil, hay tramos aventureros. Habrá que trepar por una roca usando cuerdas y agarres, y en otros tramos subir o bajar por rocas. Si sufres de vértigo, algunos puntos pueden resultar algo intimidantes. Es imprescindible llevar calzado que pueda mojarse pero que proteja pies y tobillos, ya que en algunas zonas el agua puede alcanzar la altura de la cintura.
Esta ruta no es apta para perros que no se puedan cargar, y los caminantes deben tener siempre precaución al andar por el río. La combinación de tramos de río, rocas y pequeñas trepadas hace de esta caminata una experiencia emocionante y refrescante en el Valle de Lecrín.
